The majority of Ontario COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted tomorrow, bringing the province to the closest it's been to pre-pandemic life in almost two years.

For starters, as of March 1, the province will lift all capacity limits on indoor public settings, no longer requiring establishments to operate at 50%, which opens up the possibility for nightlife to resume.

GoodLife is among the gym chains reopening in Ontario on Friday, and have been announcing details about the policies members can expect when they return.

Responding to one Twitter user's question about whether or not proof of vaccination will be required for entry, the gym responded with, "At this time, we are not planning to require Associates or Members to be vaccinated to enter our locations. For privacy reasons, GoodLife will not disclose information regarding any individual Associate's vaccination status."

The Region of Waterloo has finally announced that it will move into step two of Ontario's reopening plan on July 12 at 12:01 a.m.

The region was left behind as the rest of Ontario moved into step two on June 30, eight days ago.

The third and final step of Ontario's reopening plan is poised to begin on Wednesday, July 21, three weeks after the start of step two.

Despite surpassing vaccination targets over a week ago to enter step three, Ontario's new top doctor Dr. Kieran Moore said it's unlikely that the reopening timeline will be moved up as the period in between steps is used to determine the impact of COVID-19 variants in hot spot regions. Premier Doug Ford, however, said that he wants to move forward with reopening "as quickly as possible."
