One province is cracking down on cross-country travellers. Manitoba’s travel rules now require everybody entering the region to self-isolate for two weeks, even if they’re residents.

In a statement on January 26, the provincial government confirmed that Manitoba’s incoming travel restrictions would be updated and made stricter.

Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health is asking anyone who enters the province from other parts of Canada to self-isolate for two weeks if they travel to Ontario while the lockdown is ongoing.

The lockdown starts at 12:01 a.m. on Boxing Day and will last until January 9, 2021, for all parts of Ontario and January 23, 2021, for Southern Ontario only.
