Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health (KFL&A) is asking anyone with symptoms to get tested after positive cases were linked to Ontario university parties.

According to the public-health unit, at least two COVID-19 cases were connected to house parties in Kingston's university district last week.

The large gatherings were held on December 4 and 5.

All individuals who attended house parties in this area are required to self-isolate and to get tested if symptoms occur. KFL&A Public Health

Students who develop symptoms will be required to self-isolate again and get re-tested.

"Once tested, individuals should continue to self-isolate until they receive a negative test result," Moore added in a statement.

KFL&A Public Health reported that it has launched an investigation into the issue and is following-up with close contacts.

University students testing positive for COVID-19 due to a lack of social distancing isn't a new issue for the province.

In fact, Doug Ford has addressed the issue on numerous occasions, often scolding young people for not taking the pandemic seriously enough.
