If visiting a sex club in Canada is something you've been thinking about, you might be surprised to find out that there are quite a few in the country.
Many of the clubs host events catered to specific sexual interests and orientations, as well as evenings just for general play, so there's likely something for everyone who wants to get involved.
Of course, there are specific rules that must be followed at adult clubs, which are all listed on their websites, but "no means no" and "enthusiastic yes required" are number one for all of them.

In terms of actually visiting a sex or lifestyle club, Narcity chatted with Fatima Mechtab, an employee at Toronto's Oasis Aqualounge, about the advice that she has for people visiting for the first time.
"Don't have expectations," Mechtab explained. "A lot of people may feel that because they paid a certain amount in admissions they're guaranteed something to happen, and that's absolutely not true."
"We do not provide any type of sexual services whatsoever," she continued. "We are a venue that allows people to express themselves sexually in whatever way they choose to."
If you're feeling nervous or hesitant about the whole situation, Mechtab recommends taking part in whatever activities the club might host to help people loosen up.
"Be willing to participate in any games or icebreakers, because if you're shy and nervous, those will definitely help you to loosen up a little bit," she shared, adding to not be afraid of asking questions if you need some clarification about what is and isn't acceptable.
In terms of what she wants people to know, Mechtab emphasized that following the rules is of the utmost importance.
"We're very big on our rules," Mechtab told Narcity. "Consent is of the utmost importance at Oasis Aquaounge."
"And I'm gonna go a step further by saying, not only does no mean no — only an emphatic yes throughout play means yes. So that's along the lines of active consent."
At any point throughout play, someone is allowed to change their mind, and everyone involved in the situation needs to be mindful of exercising active consent and disengaging.
Oasis also has an "ask once, don't ask twice" rule, which means that if you ask someone to engage in some sort of play and they decline, you cannot ask them again.
