The top of 2023 has seen Ontario gas prices sit well within the realm of affordability. However, like last year, things are expected to get much pricer as the months drag on, with one expert already warning drivers to prepare for a return to $2 a litre.

Gas analyst Dan McTeague told Narcity that the "dramatic drop" in prices the province saw at the pumps in early December, though blissful, can be attributed to risky bets on energy stocks that he says are being made in "complete ignorance of fundamentals."

Travel has been made relatively easy in the province this December, thanks to a combination of mild weather and low Ontario gas prices, with the latter set up to drop again on Friday.

Gas Wizard predicts that the province's pumps could drop by another 3 cents tomorrow, bringing most area's totals down to 135.9 cents per litre ahead of the weekend.

What fluctuates wildly and makes owning a vehicle a constant gamble? Ontario gas prices. But not on Friday. It will be a good day for fuelling up, at least, that's what the latest Gas Wizard predictions suggest.

Gas analyst Dan McTeague announced via Twitter on Wednesday that most pumps in the province would be down 5 cents on Friday, November 25, 2022, leaving cities such as Toronto, Ottawa, and Windsor offering 152.9 cents per litre.

After nearly a week of standstills, Ontario gas prices are finally set to drop on Wednesday. So, those who can hold off on fuelling up until hump day are in for some serious savings.

According to gas analyst Dan McTeague, pumps should fall by 7 cents a litre on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, bringing totals down to 158.9 for most areas, including Toronto, Niagara, Ottawa, Windsor, and London.
