Looking for a magical fall hike? You'll want to put on your coziest plaid jacket, grab a pumpkin spice latte and head to this enchanting spot near Toronto.
With a majestic waterfall and breathtaking fall colours, it's like stepping into an autumn paradise.
Smokey Hollow Falls, located in Waterdown, is a dreamy cascade tucked away in a forest. During the fall, the woodland transforms with vibrant hues of gold and orange, making it a gorgeous spot to take in the foliage.
The 10-metre ribbon waterfall isn't the tallest one you'll find in the region, but its picturesque forest setting and trail add some extra magic to the scene. The waterfall was once used to power a sawmill.
The cascade is a short walk from the parking lot, so you don't have to go far if you just want to see the falls. There is a viewing platform beside the rushing water where you can soak up some incredible views.
If you're up for a longer adventure, you can follow The Waterdown Trail – an 11-kilometre hike that takes you through the foliage and along leaf-covered stairways.
There are lots of other waterfalls in the area that come alive during the fall, so you may want to plan some outings to these spots.
Lace up those boots and get ready for some majestic views at Smokey Hollow Falls.
