The City of Toronto experienced major disruptions yesterday after a severe storm caused power outages and widespread flooding.

The thunderstorm, which began Tuesday morning and raged into the afternoon, left 167,000 people without power and resulted in the closure of roads, transit stations and more. According to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, the city received heavy rainfall totalling up to 101.5mm.
