The Sunshine State is a treasure trove of tropical vibes, beachy views, and hidden gems waiting to be uncovered. And while the state is mostly flat, you can still find some pretty gorgeous waterfalls tucked away in places you may least expect them. At Florida's Rainbow Springs State Park, you can do just that — if you know where to look.

Rainbow Springs is a gorgeous little spot in Dunnellon, Florida. Best known for its headsprings, this crystal clear oasis offers a plethora of fun for nature lovers.

Aside from being able to swim here for a mere $2, nature trails will take you through some stunning and serene views.

But the swimming hole and nature hiking trails aren't where you'll find the waterfall; you'll have to take the path less traveled to uncover this little gem.

So how do you actually get there?

When you walk into the park, to your right you'll see a path that leads to the turquoise spring. You can head that way to dip your toes in. But if you're looking for this secret waterfall first, you're gonna want to take a hard left.

Follow the concrete path; some signs will point you in the right direction. After a short trek over some light hills, you'll happen upon the falls, gently trickling away surrounded by a lush tropical landscape.

Whether you're here for the waterfall or simply a gorgeous place to swim, Rainbow Springs State Park has you covered.
