As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Brampton's mayor is now demanding that big-box stores and factories close.

Mayor Patrick Brown opposed Ontario's shutdown on Twitter on Monday, arguing that the "same old approach isn't working."

Amazon, big-box stores and crowded factories are some of the locations that should shut their doors, said the mayor.

However, he also said that if these spots need to remain open, because "our supply chain can't handle it," then essential workers should be prioritized for vaccinations.

Despite wanting to shutter big-box stores, Brown has stated that schools should remain open
