Uber driver Subhakar Khadka was driving three female passengers when he asked them to wear a facemask, but they refused and aggressively ripped his mask off, coughed on him, and sprayed pepper spray into his car.

After the clip of the assault went viral, a GoFundMe was created to help raise enough money for him to properly rid his car of the strong pepper spray chemicals and even replace the wages he lost after canceling the drive.

The GoFundMe set a goal of reaching $20,000 but was able to greatly exceed expectations and raise over $100,000 in just one week.

"It was a really unfortunate event last week and it has not been easy ever since, and I hope nobody has to go through that," he said in a statement. "I will be forever grateful to everybody and I will be using the generous donation wisely."

Vice reports two of the women, identified as Malaysia King and Arna Kimiai, have been arrested and are being charged with battery, conspiracy to commit a crime, and violation of health codes.
