Supporters of Adam Skelly, the owner of Adamson Barbecue, have raised over $130K to help pay his legal fees.

It seems Skelly, who was arrested on November 26 after intentionally breaking Ontario's COVID-19 rules, has become a sort of figure for the anti-masker movement.

A GoFundMe page was set up for him on Thursday with the initial goal of raising $10,000.

Don’t put this aside for later. Every fine, every police visit, every daily scolding by some fat cat politician is chipping away at Adam’s courage. Show him that he’s not alone. Barry McNamar, Fundraiser Organizer

As of Friday morning, the fundraiser has raised over a whopping $130K.

According to the page's organizer, Skelly will soon be able to draw whatever he wants from the money raised for him.

"Adam has been listed as the beneficiary on the withdrawal portion of this campaign," the organizer states in the comment section.

"Once he accepts that invitation, he will have complete and exclusive access to the funds and to the full donor list," he adds.

Demonstrators and police clashed violently outside of Adamson Barbecue on Thursday, leading to multiple arrests and serious charges.
