Wine Slushies Are All The Rage At This Spot In Georgia

Wine + views? Say no more. 😜🍷
Contributor

While many would love to travel to the Napa Valley and sip on some of the best wines in the world, that's not always possible. A great alternative is heading to some of the Blue Ridge Mountain's wineries in North Georgia to get spectacular views and home-grown wines. One of these wineries even makes sweet wine slushies that change up the entire game.

Sweet Acre Farms Winery in Alto, Georgia is tucked away right in the foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains.

Run by husband and wife duo, Matthew and Lindsey Vrahiotes, the couple built their business together from the ground up over the course of six years according to their website.

You can take a seat in their cozy tasting room to sip on one of the many wines they have, or even sit outside overlooking the pasture in one of the rocking chairs to forget the rest of the world as you sip on your spirits.

Sweet Acre is known for its sweet fruit wines that'll tickle your taste buds and its wine slushies that'll cool you down with a touch of sweetness on those hot Georgia days.

On some weekends, you can even expect to see a special menu item: a wine with a popsicle dipped in it. Keep up with the winery's social media to see their specials and when they're serving up this delight.

Their slushie flavors change over time; some Sweet Acre Farms has had in the past include strawberry, pineapple, strawberry watermelon, lemon drop, Maui Waui, blueberry, blackberry, grape, pineapple mango, and strawberry margarita.

Is your mouth watering yet?

In the pasture the tasting room overlooks, you might be able to see Sweetie Pie, the donkey that resides at Sweet Acres. There are also cows that will be moseying around that you can catch a glimpse of.

This winery is apart of the Georgia Foothills Wine Trail that features six different wineries winding through the mountain countryside. Make a weekend out of it and take an adventure to all these spots for a boozy-ful weekend.
