The federal government's summer jobs program is hiring soon for the 2025 season.
You can find work across the country with Canada Summer Jobs, including some high-paying positions.
There will be 70,000 job opportunities available with the Canada Summer Jobs in areas like recreation, hospitality, marketing, tourism, and more.
Jobs will also be available in high-demand industries, such as housing construction and environmental protection.
This program opens on Monday, April 21, with new jobs added until Monday, July 21.
You're eligible for a Canada Summer Jobs position if you:
- are between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment
- are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
- are legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
International students are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Canada Summer Jobs positions are full-time, 30 to 40 hours per week.
Work can last between six and 16 weeks, but the average duration of a job with the program is eight weeks.
If you're looking for work and want to apply, summer jobs will be posted on the Government of Canada's Youth Job Bank site and Job Bank app.
