'Q Shaman' Lost 20 Pounds & Wants Out Of Jail For This Reason
The man wearing the horned headdress with facepaint at the January 6 Capitol riots, Jacob Chansley, aka the "Q Shaman," has apparently had a rough go of things in jail due to his diet.
Chansley has lost 20 pounds in his month behind bars after not eating anything for over a week because the jail won't provide him with all-organic meals. Now his lawyer, Albert Watkins, wants him released immediately.

Based on Mr. Jacob Chansley’s shamanic belief system and way of life, non-organic food... would act as an ‘object intrusion’ onto his body and cause serious illness if he were to eat it.
Watkins' emergency motion
This is not the first time Chansley's dietary restrictions have cause problems in jail.
When the 33-year-old was first arrested in Phoenix, Arizona, he made it very clear that he would not eat any non-organic food while detained, leading a judge to direct a provision of organic food for him.
Not too long after, he was transferred to a jail in Washington D.C., where they do not recognize the same "court directed protocols."
According to the motion filed by Watkins, the District of Columbia Department of Corrections denied Chansley's request for an all-organic diet because he failed to identify a faith/belief upon entering custody.
Now, Watkins is calling for the pre-trial release of Chansely, saying the move would benefit both him and the government.
"The release of the Defendant would obviate the need to address a worsening health situation for the Defendant and the employment of resources on the part of the government to address same," the motion reads.
His lawyer also believes his release would not "constitute a threat of any nature to the public, our nation, or the security of anyone."
The court has not yet responded to the motion.
