With this COVID-19 in Canada update from Dr. Theresa Tam, she said that the country is two-thirds of the way down the curve of the second wave.

She also noted in a press conference that disease activity is still on a decline nationally.

Dr. Tam said that the past few weeks have been challenging for Canadians.

However, following public health measures seems to have paid off because she noted that "we've made great progress."

Now the country is almost two-thirds of the way down the curve.

Even though she noted that COVID-19 vaccines are "strong tools" to get us out of the tunnel, Justin Trudeau recently confirmed that it's not mandatory to get vaccinated.

Though, he did explain that it could lead to some public health consequences.
