Employees At 2 Edmonton Superstores & 1 Safeway Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

They've all worked in the past 2 weeks. 😳

This can't be good. On Tuesday, August 18, a worker from the Real Canadian Superstore on St. Albert Trail tested positive for COVID-19.

A day later on Wednesday, August 19, a team member from the Superstore on 17 Street also tested positive. These recent Edmonton COVID-19 cases also include a Safeway worker who tested positive on August 19.

Narcity has reached out to both Superstore and Safeway for comment and we will update this article once we receive a response. 

Edmonton has been facing a spike in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, so much so that it has double the active case count than in Toronto. 

On top of the grocery store cases, cases related to Edmonton McDonald's locations and even a church have been detected recently.
