"Come on man!"

On Wednesday, May 19, President Joe Biden addressed the graduates of the United States Coast Guard Academy at their commencement ceremony.

After proudly calling the Coast Guard "the hard nucleus around the Navy forms in times of war" and getting virtually no reaction from the audience, Biden said "you're a really dull class," while leaning in and looking out over the graduates around the eight-minute mark of his speech.

The crowd laughed. "I mean, come on man!" Biden continued. "Is the sun getting to ya?"

He went on to say that when he says something like that about the Navy it's an opportunity for them to clap. They gave the president what he was looking for with a round of applause and he smiled out at them.

His speech went on without a hitch and he received a warm round of applause as he finished.
