In the wake of Florida's Phase 3 reopening, Orange County officials said they will continue to send out ‘Strike Teams’ to enforce CDC guidelines and remain open in a safe manner.

Orange County Mayor Demings said in a press conference on Monday that the mask mandate for the area is still in place.

Click Orlando reported that the teams will go to shopping centers, gyms, and theme parks and will be dressed as regular citizens.

Strike Teams will continue to proactively visit businesses…

While Governor DeSantis’ lifting of restrictions allowed bars and restaurants to reopen, it also left the decision of capacity up to the individual venue.

Governor DeSantis’ recent order would not allow local counties to reinstate capacity restrictions on restaurants at this time, even if COVID-19 cases began to rise again.

The official Twitter page of Orange County FL encouraged businesses to stay vigilant, however, as people contracting the virus in their establishments could be a liability risk.

The thread went on to say that the county would continue to provide free PPE and COVID testing to residents.

They also encouraged businesses to continue to require masks from patrons.
