Canada’s new finance minister could be a woman, for the first time ever. According to a report from CTV News, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland is set to become the country’s new finance minister, pending an announcement from Justin Trudeau.

On August 18, it was reported that Freeland is expected to take over from Bill Morneau, who announced on Monday that he was resigning from the position.
