The 2024 Oscars are underway and host Jimmy Kimmel had a cute shoutout to Ryan Gosling who then paid it forward to his sister Mandi, who also doubled as his date for the evening.

On Sunday, March 10, the Academy Awards host had some kind words for the leads of Barbie.

After acknowledging that some hoped that Greta Gerwig should have been nominated for best director, he then turned to Margot Robbie and Ryan.

"Ryan and Margot, I want you to know that even if neither one of you wins an Oscar tonight, you both already won something much more important: the genetic lottery," joked Kimmel.

Given that Ryan was sitting next to his sister Mandi and that she shares in those same great genes, it was very sweet of him to pull her into the frame with him so she could share in the sweet and silly moment.

"Ryan, you are so hot," continued Fallon. "Let's go camping camping together and not tell our wives."

We're not too sure how Eva Mendes would feel about Ryan joining in on that, but who knows!

Later in the evening, Gosling is set to perform the hit single "I'm Just Ken" which is also up for an award, so he might just be going home with an award other than genetic blessings.
