BC Parks camping reservations are open now for 2025 and here's what you need to know
If you're planning to explore BC’s great outdoors this year, now’s the time to start planning. Campsites in many BC Parks are now open for spring reservations, with the system allowing bookings up to four months in advance.
That means that reservations for the May long weekend are now open, and a few parks have some exciting updates for 2025 that BC Parks shared in a recent release.
What’s new for 2025?
This year, BC Parks has added 60 new campsites across three parks to the reservation system, offering more options for campers looking to book ahead:- Fintry Park near Kelowna: 30 new campsites with power hookups
- Rolley Lake Park near Mission: 17 new walk-in sites
- China Beach Campground in Juan de Fuca Park: 13 new sites (including eight park-beside for tent camping and five walk-ins).
Reservations for the new sites at Fintry and Rolley Lake opened on January 15, while bookings for China Beach’s new sites will be available at a later date.
Some parks are facing delays
Not all parks are ready just yet. Storm damage is still being repaired at several locations, including Golden Ears Park, where sections of the Golden Ears Parkway are under construction. This affects access to its campgrounds, which are expected to open later this spring.
The Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Park also remains closed as work continues to rebuild sections destroyed by extreme weather events.
