It's not difficult to find beauty in Canada. From towering mountain peaks to vast oceans and thick rainforests — there's a lot within our borders. Some places though stand out, getting extra attention for their nature scenery and awe-inspiring beauty.

While living in Vancouver, my time was basically split between trying to eat my way through the city, wondering when the rain would stop, and doing little getaways to explore as much of the province as I could in my time there.

While I actually really loved the city, some of the highlights of my two years in B.C. were the little islands, cozy towns, and beautiful getaways that I got to experience. Those are the places I still daydream about going back to, and gush about anytime someone brings up visiting B.C.

Spring is *almost* in the air, and if you're eager to take advantage of the warmer weather, it's time to start planning. When I lived in Vancouver a few years ago, I made it my mission to see as much as possible. This meant many weekends spent on BC Ferries and loading my car with road trip supplies. Time and time again, though, the journeys were well worth the beautiful destinations.
