Alberta's weather forecast is a 'rollercoaster ride' and snow is expected in some areas
Summer isn't here yet, and some roller-coaster spring weather is coming to remind you of that. Alberta's weather forecast is calling for possible snow is some areas, and it might not even be the last we see.
The Weather Network (TWN) said that while the week has started warm in the south, a chance of snow might come as soon as Wednesday. That won't be the end of the cold weather either, as "another band of snow could develop south of Edmonton on Thursday," TWN said.
Enjoy the warmer temperatures while you can on Monday and Tuesday because, by Wednesday morning, a cold front is set to hit and possibly bring "snow back to the southern foothills."
Calgary might get snow on Wednesday morning, with chilly temperatures expected.
It's not all bad news, though. The snow isn't expected to stick in most places, likely melting on contact. The southwest may get 3 cm, though, and up in the higher elevations, it could be between 5 and 15 cm of snow.
Things should clear up by Wednesday night, but some more snow may fall south of Edmonton on Thursday. So, don't put away those boots and jackets yet because the winter weather isn't gone.
