Quaker & Cap'n Crunch Granola Bars & Cereals Are Being Recalled In Canada Due To Salmonella
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recently issued a notification about a food recall in Canada in regards to two popular brands: Cap’n Crunch and Quaker.
According to the notification, several granola bars and cereals are being recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.
Why you should care: "Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick," advises the CFIA. "Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
