Government Of Canada Jobs For Students In Admin, HR, IT & Finance Pay Up To $30 An Hour
Government of Canada jobs are being hired across the country and you could make up to $30 an hour if you're in college or university.
These jobs for students with CSIS are available in admin, IT, finance, engineering, HR, foreign language services, communications and more fields.
The national intelligence agency's co-op program is meant to provide students with hands-on work experience and hire students as full-time employees after graduation.
Currently, hiring is ongoing for the summer 2025 work term which runs from May to August.
CSIS jobs for students are available in these areas:

- Finance
- Science and Research
- Internal Audit and Evaluation
- Information Management
- IT and Engineering
- Policy and Foreign Relations
- Administrative Assistant
- Engineering or Architecture
- Human Resources
- Policy
- Digital Communications Officer
- Foreign Language Services
Work terms with CSIS can be four, eight, 12 or 16 months.
To get hired, you must be a Canadian citizen and registered as a full-time, post-secondary student at an accredited academic institution recognized in Canada.
These government of Canada student jobs are located in Ottawa, Toronto, Burnaby, Edmonton, Gatineau and Montreal.
Experience isn't required to get hired for the CSIS jobs — including Administrative Assistant, Finance, IT, HR, and Digital Communications positions — but it is preferable.
However, with the Foreign Language Services position, CSIS is looking for students with language proficiency in Arabic, Russian, Mandarin or Cantonese.
The student hourly salary is $22.52 to $29.94 an hour for college, CEGEP, and undergraduate students and $25.75 to $30.45 hour for graduate students.
If you're applying, you must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance.
That process involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation with credit and financial verifications.
