The Canadian Security Intelligence Service — which is also known as CSIS — is hiring Canadians to work as Intelligence Officers.

With these government of Canada jobs, you could earn more than $100,000 a year while protecting Canada's national security.

Intelligence Officers at CSIS are primarily responsible for managing investigations and collecting intelligence.

You'll also work as part of the "critically important mission" of protecting Canada's national security interests which includes democracy, prosperity, and safety.

Becoming a full-working Intelligence Officer typically involves working at the national headquarters in Ottawa as a Case Officer and then a posting to a regional office as an Investigator.

Also, the successful completion of the 14-week Intelligence Officer Entry Training course in Ottawa is required.

Intelligence Officers get paid a CSIS salary that's between $75,720 and $118,250 a year.

To get hired for these CSIS jobs, you need to be a Canadian citizen and have completed an undergraduate bachelor's degree.

Also, work experience that helped you develop the competencies required to be an Intelligence Officer is required.

It's considered an asset if you have previous experience working for the federal government, knowledge of a foreign language, or personal experience travelling or living abroad.

You must be willing to relocate within Canada during your CSIS career as an Intelligence Officer.

Also, you need to be able to get an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance which involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation.

If you apply, you're being told to not discuss your application with anyone besides your partner or close family members and they also need to be discreet.

The closing date for this CSIS job is March 4, 2024.
