How did Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau meet?
According to Maclean's, they knew each other when they were children.
That's because Grégoire Trudeau was classmates with Trudeau's brother Michel.
She's said that she has memories of spending time at the family's home when she was young.
However, the pair didn't really know each other until they were adults when they were reintroduced in 2003.
Even though they hit it off then, Trudeau actually ignored an email from his future wife sent a couple of days later that said it was a pleasure to meet him.
Later that year, they bumped into each other and he asked for her number but she played it cool and said that if he saved her email, he would have a way to get in touch with her.
So, Trudeau finally emailed her back and she agreed to go out with him.
In September 2020, Grégoire Trudeau shared that they had their first date 17 years earlier.
"Through all the ups and the downs, you're still my person," she said.
On the night of that first date, he told her that they would spend the rest of their lives together and Trudeau told Maclean's that they "burst into tears" because they're "such big sensitive souls."

When did they get married and have kids?
Trudeau proposed on October 18, 2004, and then the couple got married in Montreal on May 28, 2005.
It wasn't a typical wedding, her dress wasn't exactly white and they didn't even have cake at the reception.
Grégoire Trudeau told Maclean's that she wanted to do something different so there was a big table with a bunch of desserts, tea and coffee instead.
For their 15th wedding anniversary, Trudeau shared a photo of them and said "you are my rock, my partner, and my best friend. And there's no one I’d rather be on this journey with than you, Sophie."
A year earlier, she celebrated their nuptials by calling him her "favourite hubby."
They also have three children together.
Xavier was born in 2007, Ella-Grace in 2009, and Hadrien in 2014.
Where are they at now?
It's been almost 20 years since the couple went on their first date back in 2003 and since then they've gotten married, had three kids and become Canada's first family.
Over the years, they've shown their love for each other on Instagram by sharing adorable photos together with sweet captions.
For Valentine's Day in 2017, Grégoire Trudeau even said that she loves her husband's laugh lines as they get older.
