Toronto Pearson Airport Just Made Life Easier For Connecting Passengers & Here's What To Know
If you've ever had to catch a connecting flight, you know how much of a struggle it can be, especially when you're tight on time. Toronto Pearson Airport is making the experience a little easier with the addition of a new facility dedicated to connecting passengers.
On January 9, 2024, the airport announced the new Satellite Primary Inspection Line (SPIL), a "facility designed to enhance your travel experience through Terminal 3."
What you need to know: Travellers who arrive at Pearson Airport and need to connect to a domestic flight will now be able to access a dedicated customs area "exclusive for connecting passengers that allows them to stay on the secure side of the airport."
The area allows for an easy route between international and domestic connections without getting caught in lengthy lines.
The SPIL is complete with Primary Inspection Kiosk machines, Canadian Air Transport Security Agency lanes, and Canada Border Services Agency booths as well as a family washroom, waiting area, and Operational Support Representatives to assist with travellers.
What they're saying: "The new connection facility is set to significantly reduce connection time, giving connecting travellers the flexibility to explore a variety of shopping and lounge services available at the airport terminal, enhancing the overall experience," Toronto Pearson said in an update.
