The 2024 Juno Awards Nominees Were Announced & Here Are The Canadian Artists Up For Awards
The 2024 Juno Awards nominees are out and many Canadian artists are up for awards.
The nominations were announced at a press event in Toronto on Tuesday and Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, who will be hosting and performing at the awards show, made a surprise appearance.
During the event, Furtado spoke about how important the Juno Awards are and the impact the ceremony had on her career as a Canadian musician. She also told fans in Halifax to get "ready to party."
Narcity spoke with Furtado at the event and we asked her what she was looking forward to at this year's Junos.
"We're just gonna have a bunch of fun. I think the theme this year is about party, dance," Furtado told Narcity.
"I'm opening the show so I'm really focused on my performance and just getting it right, recognizing people want to hear all of my songs so it's almost like a mini-Vegas review in four-and-a-half minutes. Then it's have fun, bring the fashion, bring the glamour."
