A 'The Last Of Us' star showed up at a Calgary Flames game and teased a return to Alberta
The Last Of Us Season 2 has been filming in Vancouver, but it looks like the cast has returned to Alberta.
The entire first season of the HBO series was shot around Alberta and one cast member has confirmed the crew is back in the province for a short time.
Gabriel Luna, who plays Joel's younger brother Tommy in The Last Of Us, shared the news at a Calgary Flames game on Tuesday.
"Back in Alberta! Thanks to the @nhlflames for hosting me. Missed y’all, Calgary!" the actor wrote in an Instagram post alongside a video.
In the video, Luna is asked what brought him back to Calgary.
"We’re shooting season 2 of The Last Of Us and the beauty of this land is hard to replicate so we had to come back to Alberta," he said.
"We’re here for 10 days and I couldn’t miss going to a Flames game."
Season 1 of the HBO series was shot around Alberta, including downtown Calgary, Fort Macleod, the Alberta legislature building, Canmore and Okotoks.
The show then moved production to B.C. for Season 2 and has been spotted filming in Mission, Langley, Kamloops and North Vancouver.
It's unclear which cast members are currently in Alberta to film scenes for the upcoming season and where they'll be filming.
Fans have been sharing their B.C. sightings on the Reddit page r/thelastofusHBOseries so they'll likely be posting them there if they come across filming locations.
Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will reprise their roles in Season 2 as Ellie and Joel. Other stars who have joined the cast include Isabela Merced as Abby, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Ariela Barer as Mel, and Spencer Lord as Owen.
It sounds like Gabriel Luna will also be back as Tommy in the upcoming season.
The Last of Us Season 2 is slated to premiere on HBO in 2025.
