Loga's Corner is located at the corner of Queen West and Lansdowne and has an impressive 4.7 star Google rating with many saying that they have the best momos in town, so I was eager to try them out for myself. Here's how the experience went down.

The outside of the restaurant is very unassuming (so much so that I actually wondered if I was in the right place) but once inside, I was greeted by a friendly employee and a sign showing the variety of momos to choose from.
I actually wasn't 100% sure what a momo was before heading there, but after doing some research, I found out that they're steamed dumplings popular in Tibetan and Nepali cuisine.
At the restaurant, I wasn't sure what to order, so I panicked and just went for the first thing on the menu, which were beef momos.
When I got my order, the employee added in some pickled radish and two different kinds of hot sauce: a chilli oil and a pepper sauce with cheese in it, which I was super intrigued to try.

When I got back to my apartment, I opened up the takeout container and found 10 cute-looking dumplings that were still piping hot, despite the short drive from the restaurant to my place.
Y'all, these momos were delicious. I've had various kinds of dumplings from different cuisines, and I can confidently say that these momos are the best out of any I've ever tried.
The meat is tender, juicy and incredibly flavourful and the dough itself is thicker and a bit chewier than other dumplings I've had, which makes it feel a bit heartier.
I'm pretty good with spices and I found these hot sauces to be super spicy, but in a pleasant way. They both work well with the beef momo, but my preference is for the cheese hot sauce as it's a bit less aggressive and doesn't stick around on the palate as long as the oil does. The pickled radish does do a good job of neutralizing the heat, but I didn't really enjoy it, so I might request not to get that next time.
These momos are super filling; by the time I ate my sixth one, I was ready to tap out, but they were so yummy I needed to have a seventh before storing the rest away for a snack later.

I enjoyed the momos so much that my fiancee and I ended up ordering them via Skip The Dishes twice in the next two weeks.
For our second order, we got the beef dumplings again and the fried chicken dumplings. The beef ones were just as delicious as I remembered, and although I did very much like the fried version, I'd say it wasn't as good as the steamed kind as it seemed to be less juicy.
Armed with that knowledge, for our next order we opted for the beef dumplings again (obviously) as well as the lamb and pork options.
The beef remains my favourite, but I did really enjoy the lamb and pork ones, particularly with the chilli oil.

I'm excited to try the rest of the menu options at Loga's Corner, because for $9.00 an order, it's easily some of the cheapest, most delicious food I've had in Toronto in ages.
I'm also excited to buy some of their frozen momos and try my hand at cooking them myself, because having a few of those on hand seems like a great idea for when laziness strikes but you still want something delicious.
I can't wait to try another Toronto hidden gem restaurant and find my next food to be obsessed with!
