The Weather Network (TWN) said that "an atmospheric river event is setting up for this weekend" in B.C.'s South Coast region. The rainfall is welcome, as "the majority of B.C. has seen less than 60% of normal precipitation" so far this winter.

B.C. experienced winter weather over the weekend, with cold temperatures and significant snowfall affecting many areas across the province.

Forecasters warn that the snowfall is expected to continue, making travel throughout southwestern B.C. difficult. According to The Weather Network (TWN), this "multi-day snowfall event" along the coast has already brought over 20 cm of snow to some areas as of Sunday afternoon.
