The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) has officially released Ontario's Top 10 Worst Roads for 2025 list, and the results are painfully predictable.
The annual list is powered by driver feedback. This year, participants nominated over 2,400 different roads from 208 municipalities — which gives you an idea how much of a hot mess Ontario's roads are.
This is up from last year, when 2,000 roads were nominated from 145 municipalities.
For the second consecutive year, Hamilton's Aberdeen Avenue takes the (dis)honour of being crowned the worst of the worst, beating fellow Hamilton trouble zone Barton Street East.
Aberdeen Avenue is known for its large potholes and poor road maintenance, and Hamilton drivers are fighting for their suspension systems daily.
Unsurprisingly, Toronto once again dominates the list, with Eglinton Avenue West, Sheppard Avenue West, and the Gardiner Expressway all making the top 10. If you've spent the last few years dodging cones and construction chaos along Eglinton, you know precisely why it made the cut — the LRT delays alone could inspire a full documentary.
Mississauga's Hurontario Street, Fort Erie's Sider Road, and Prince Edward County's County Road 49 also ranked highly, proving that road rage knows no municipal boundaries. From crumbling country routes to urban gridlock nightmares, the frustration is very real.
