Navigating life's transitions can sometimes feel a whole lot like making your way through a maze: lots of dead ends, confusion and maybe even a scare or two. There are a number of factors to consider when facing any potentially life-changing situation, especially when it comes to applying to grad school.

The decision to pursue a master's or doctoral degree is becoming increasingly popular. Canada saw an increase of more than 40% from 2006 to 2016 in student enrolment for graduate education. In a competitive job market, a master's degree can be an excellent way to differentiate yourself from other professionals in your field, giving you the edge you've been looking for.

If you're curious about schools, programs, funding or all three, consider checking out the QS Virtual Grad School Event. This online series is set to take place over three days in September for prospective students in Toronto, Montreal and western Canada.

If you're in western Canada, you can sign up to meet online with admissions representatives on Tuesday, September 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PDT. Registration is free, all you need to do is submit your CV. You'll be matched with universities that best suit your experience and ambitions, after which you'll receive a schedule of 25-minute Zoom meetings with admissions representatives.

Those in Toronto and Montreal can do the same, with access to personal meetings in addition to a virtual fair. During the fair, you'll be able to tune into helpful information sessions and seminars. This is a great opportunity to download helpful brochures and network with admissions officers from top grad schools via chat.

The Toronto event is set to take place on Saturday, September 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m EDT. The Montreal event is on Monday, September 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EDT.

Just think, in a few months' time, you could be a student at one of the world's most prestigious universities, getting an education that's tailored to your interests and goals.
