Leafs Will Finally Return To Action Against The Montreal Canadians On July 28

Hockey nights are officially back in two weeks' time. The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to battle against the Montreal Canadiens on July 28 just days before the Stanley Cup qualifiers get underway.

Details of the NHL schedule in Toronto were finally released on July 14 and we now know more about what the season restart will look like in the 6ix. All Eastern Conference team games will be played in the city, while the Western Conference takes place in Edmonton.

Toronto Maple Leafs will return to action against the Montreal Canadiens

Before the qualifiers start, each team will play one exhibition game, starting July 28. That day will see two games in Toronto, the second of which will be the Leafs against the Canadiens.

After that, at least two games will be played in Toronto each day through the first round of ties. The first official day of the restarted season, August 1, will see three games back-to-back in the city. The entire confirmed schedule so far can be viewed here.

The Leafs already looks prepared and eager to start the season again as they got their training camp underway this week with players wearing "Black Lives Matter" t-shirts.
