As cases continue to grow across the province, one Ontario COVID-19 survey is revealing what residents think of the province's new measures.

A new poll by Angus Reid Institute, released on Thursday, shows that almost half of Ontarian's think that the government is doing a bad job dealing with COVID-19.

Doug Ford, who's approval rating skyrocketed during the province's first bout against the disease, is now facing some heat.

44% Ontarians who think the government is doing a poor job of handling COVID-19

In the survey, over 1,000 Ontarians were asked for their opinion on Ford's government pandemic response.

Of those respondents, 55% said they think the government is doing a good job.

However, the other half of the province didn't seem to agree.

These numbers have plummeted since when Ontarians were asked the same question months prior.

The study also shows that back in June, 81% of residents surveyed believed that the government was handling the pandemic well.

On Friday, 1,848 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the province.
