An Ontario Prisoner Was Released From Jail By Accident & Police Are Looking For Him

Residents are asked to call 911 if they see him.

Police are now on the lookout after an inmate was accidentally let out of prison on Monday. 

The Ontario prisoner, released from Maplehurst Correctional Complex, was last seen leaving the area on foot.

Halton Regional Police 

According to Halton Regional Police, 28-year-old Amritpal Singh Aujla was released on an "error."

He is described as having a slim build, black shoulder-length hair and a black beard.  

Aujla was last seen wearing a Tommy Hilfiger tracksuit and carrying a black backpack. 

Anyone who sees the man is asked to not approach him and call 911 immediately.
