"

Congratulations again to the cast and crew of #SchittsCreek for showing the strength of our local screen industry!"

John Tory

The show won all four main acting categories and won nine awards in total.

The series also scored the most total Emmys for a comedy in a single year.

Since then, Toronto's Mayor, John Tory, has shared that in order to show the city's love for the amazing comedy, the new sign will light up the same colour as the many Emmys that the cast won.
