The Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner is opening up about what it's like playing sports with his friend Justin Bieber.

Marner and his teammate William Nylander were at a press event during NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto when they talked about the Canadian singer who will be participating in the All-Star Game.

During the presser at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday a reporter asked Marner and Nylander about Bieber, who they're good friends with.

The reporter wanted to know if they thought Bieber would be more intense or calm when it comes to coaching his team at the All-Star Game on February 3.

"He's an intense guy with sports. I know when I've hung out with him if we were ever playing sports, it's dead ass serious and you wanna win," Marner said about Bieber.

"He wants to win everything."

Marner then explained that the Canadian singer would no doubt try to win the game.

"I think he also likes having the look of, if he does win, it's his team that won and he was a part of it. It's gonna be, I don't know what kind of coaching format, but it's gonna be an intense one for sure."

Nylander was quick to agree with Marner and shared his own experience with Bieber.

"I remember we played spike ball with him and he was all in. I expect the same out here this week," Nylander said.

Bieber is currently in Toronto where he'll be a celebrity captain on a team with Auston Matthews and Morgan Rielly at the All-Star Game.

Other celebrities who will be competing against Bieber include Tate McRae, Michael Bublé and Will Arnett.
