Toronto has a birthday coming up, and it's a big one! The City's 190th anniversary is around the corner and to celebrate, there's going to be a giant party.

Celebrate Toronto announced in a press release that they will be throwing a 190th Anniversary Festival featuring live entertainment, activities, treats and more. Hosted by Canadian television and radio personality Rick Campanelli, the free event will be taking place at Nathan Phillips Square on March 9, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

You can check out the Toronto Made Market, a 6000 square-foot "curated shopping experience" with more than 100 vendors. The market will be complete with a variety of food stalls where you can dig into treats that "highlight the city's rich culinary scene."

There will also be skating on the giant outdoor rink, interactive art installations, live music and a licensed bar where you can grab a boozy drink.

New this is year is a dazzling fireworks show where you can watch the sky light up with colour, followed by a DJ dance party.
