WestJet's Video Series Shows You Exactly What Flying Looks Like Right Now
Everything from what you need to bring, to the in-flight experience.

If you've been wondering what it's like to fly right now, this video series by WestJet will help paint the picture for you.
The company shared videos and helpful tips to show you what your travel day will look like, from preparing at home and arriving at the airport, to the in-flight experience.
When preparing at home, WestJet suggests that you check your government ID to make sure it isn't expired, download the WestJet app to check-in and get your boarding pass, check your pre-departure emails to make sure nothing has changed, plan to arrive early as gates may have moved since you were there last, pack a mask or two, and pack hand sanitizer.
Masks will be required at the airport, during your flight, and when you arrive at your destination.
At The Airport
If someone is dropping you off, they can't enter the airport, so be sure to say your goodbyes outside. You'll want to put your mask on before entering the airport as masks are mandatory at all times. You may encounter new touchless bag tagging stations at some airports.
Once inside, you'll notice that enhanced cleaning and physical distancing measures are in place. Your temperature will be taken and you'll need to answer a health questionnaire before you board your flight.
In The Air

WestJet says its aircraft are "cleaned extensively and frequently." You'll also be given a disinfectant wipe when you board so you can wipe down your seat. Snack and meal options are available and can be viewed on the WestJet app. These options may be different depending on your flight.
Again, masks will be mandatory for the duration of your flight.
In addition to your departure requirements when leaving Canada, you should also familiarize yourself with the entry requirements at your destination.
"Some destinations require registration, completion of a COVID-19 test before you travel, or quarantine after you arrive," said WestJet. "Be sure to check entry requirements for each flight on your trip. These requirements may change while you are in destination, so we recommend also checking them before you return home."
If you're leaving the country, you will need to ensure you've taken health measures into account for your return to Canada. You'll need to upload your information into the ArriveCAN app, including your vaccination records if applicable. Depending on your vaccination status, you may be eligible to skip quarantine and other travel measures when you return.
