Netflix’s hit new rom-com starring Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey is set in Chicago, but the movie was entirely filmed right here in and around Atlanta.
Holidate is about two singles who are sick of going to holiday parties alone, so they agree to be each other’s platonic plus-ones for holiday occasions throughout the year.
The movie is currently trending on Netflix’s “Top 10 in the U.S. Today” and is a must-watch for the holiday season.

Gwinnett Place Mall

The fictional Lakeview Mall where the couple meets is actually Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth. A large chunk of the movie was filmed in the mall and it appears in several key scenes in the film. Gwinnett Place Mall has acquired some fame recently as it was also transformed into Starcourt Mall for the filming of Stranger Things Season 3.
Domaine Atlanta
Address: 1150 Crescent Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA
Sloane and Jackson, played by Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey respectively, spent New Years together at a massive party which was filmed at Atlanta’s famed Domaine nightclub. Previously known as Opera Atlanta, the venue is ranked as one of the top nightclubs in the country and has hosted high-profile artists like Prince, Kanye West, and David Guetta.
Rí Rá Irish Pub
Address: 1080 Peachtree St. NE #1, Atlanta, GA
The couple celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Rí Rá Irish Pub right in Midtown Atlanta. Unfortunately, the pub has permanently closed since filming, but the building still stands, so you can walk by and see where the scene was shot.
