From one U.S. president to another! The friendship between Barack Obama and Joe Biden is still going strong and the former had a pretty sweet message for the new president-elect.

Alongside the image, he wrote, “Congratulations to my friend, President @JoeBiden! This is your time.”

When Obama was president between 2009 and 2017, Biden served as his vice president.

The duo has been pretty firm friends ever since, with Obama stepping up to help his former colleague throughout the 2020 presidential campaign.

On January 20, Trump left the White House for the last time. Upon leaving, he told his supporters that he’d return “in some form.”

The president-elect isn’t the only one receiving sweet messages from Barack Obama on social media.

It was Michelle Obama’s birthday over the weekend and her husband shared a throwback picture of them in honour of the special day.
