Talk about bromance goals! Former U.S. President Barack Obama has confirmed that Drake would get his “stamp of approval” to play him in a movie about his life.

During an interview with Complex News, the ex-president was asked whether he’d give the Canadian rapper “the thumbs up” to play him in a potential film or biopic.

It’s something Drake previously described as his “goal.”

Obama appeared to be pretty flattered by the offer, and confirmed the Hotline Bling singer would have his "seal of approval."

Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants. That is a talented, talented brother. So if the time comes and he’s ready, you know ... Barack Obama

The former president went on to say, “You know what, Drake has — more importantly, I think — my household’s stamp of approval.”

“I suspect Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it,” he added, referring to his two daughters.

It’s something Drake has probably been waiting to hear for years now, as he first publicized this “goal” years ago!

“Any time I see [Obama] on TV, I don’t change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions,” the rapper said back in 2012.

During the interview, Obama also spoke about this year’s presidential election, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Donald Trump and more.

It’s been shared just days after the ex-leader spoke candidly about his relationship with Justin Trudeau, as well as the relationship between Canada and the United States.
