Canadian coins.
There's a new Canadian coin that was put out recently, and it looks like a toonie.
Not only is it worth more than a toonie, but it also costs so much more than $2!
The new Animal Portraits: Polar Bear – 1 oz. Fine Silver Coin has been revealed by the Royal Canadian Mint.
Even though it looks like a toonie, it has a face value of $20.
This new coin is 99.99% pure silver and was designed by artist Trevor Tennant.
It features an engraved portrait of the polar bear moving across the snow-covered ice at the edge of the ocean.
The polar bear looks like it's stepping out of the inner ring of the coin because its front paws are on the outer ring.
According to the Mint, this blurs the boundary between humans and the natural world to give you a closer look at the polar bear, the largest of Canada's four bear species.
Each of the Animal Portraits: Polar Bear coins is selectively plated with yellow gold, and everything but the animal has a golden hue.
It's almost like a reverse toonie because part of the centre of this $20 coin is silver while the outer ring is gold coloured.
Also, the new coin offers a larger engraving of the polar bear than the toonie and a head-on view instead of a side view of the animal.

The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III designed by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
It's unlike the other side of this coin, which has everything but the polar bear plated with yellow gold.
On the obverse, the portrait of King Charles is yellow gold-plated, while the rest is silver.

If you want it, you'll have ot pay $134.95 to buy it from the Royal Canadian Mint.
You can get it online or at the Mint's boutique shops in Ottawa and Winnipeg. The coin has a limited mintage of 7,500.
There are two other coins in the 2025 Animal Portraits series, one featuring an elk (which looks like a gold quarter) and one with a grey wolf.
