What you need to know before you go
Craggy Pinnacle Trail winds through Craggy Gardens, a beautiful spot located in the Blue Ridge Parkway in Barnardsville, North Caroline.
This amazing place is free to visit. There's also free parking at Milepost 364 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, so you can enjoy the scenic outing without spending a dime.
The trail leads you through rocky terrain to a summit with a 360-degree view and is great for hikers who have some experience.
The path is just under 1 mile long round trip, so you won't have to wander far to experience the gorgeous scenery.
Where does the trail start?
The adventure begins at the south end of the Craggy Dome parking lot of the visitor center. Climb the stone steps to begin this breathtaking journey.
You'll then enter the spellbinding forest full of rare plant life, wild blueberries, and giant trees. Make your way through the woods to the top of the trail. The path is uneven, so be sure to watch your step.
