Disney+ is about to get way more expensive for Canadians as the company giant is reportedly set to raise its monthly subscription in 2021. It seems nostalgia comes with a hefty cost!

The popular streaming service will be hiking up its member subscription by $3 monthly, according to The Canadian Press via CP24.

But wait there's more, the company will reportedly be adding a brand new portal of entertainment, so you get more bang for your extra bucks!

$3 rise in Disney+ subscription price

The company said that they will be introducing a new platform called Star which will launch on Disney Plus in February, citing this is the reason for the price change.

"Star will serve up thousands of hours from Disney's TV wing, 20th Century Studios and the FX channel, but it won't be charged as an additional service," the report reads.

However, instead of adding a separate price for the extra platform, the company decided to simply increase what their users pay each month.

The price will now be $11.99 and no longer the $8.99 Canadians are used to. Additionally, this will be implemented across the country on February 23, 2021.

Users still don't know what will be available on Star in Canada, but the company reportedly has lots to chose from.

This comes just two months after Netflix also hiked up their subscription price by $1 in October.
