'Jeopardy!' Just Announced That It's Hiring 2 Hosts To Succeed Alex Trebek

Too great for one person to follow in his footsteps. 🧠

Staff Writer

There are two new Jeopardy! hosts who will be taking over for Alex Trebek and serving as quizmasters on the long-running daily show along with a brand new spin-off series.

On August 11, it was announced that Mike Richards, an executive producer on Jeopardy!, and Mayim Bialik, a neuroscientist and actor best known for The Big Bang Theory, have been named as the new hosts.

Richards will be the full-time host of the daily Jeopardy!' series and kick off the show's 38th season. He will also continue on as the executive producer of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.

Bialik will be the host of spinoff and primetime Jeopardy!' series, including Jeopardy! National College Championship, which is set to air on TV in 2022. The competition will feature 15 colleges from across the U.S. going head-to-head for two weeks of intense quizzing.

After Trebek died in November 2020, a series of guests hosts took the helm of the game show including Bialik, Richards, LeVar Burton, Aaron Rodgers, Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper.
