This Lesser-Known Pizza Joint In L.A. Is Actually A Retro '80s Dream

It's all '80s, baby. 👾🍕
Contributor

If you've ever felt like you should have grown up in the '80s instead of the 2000s, this spot is a dream come true. Game Over Pizza in Los Angeles is a neon arcade pizzeria; basically, a dream come true. Grab a bag of quarters and throw on your graphic t-shirt because this spot is like taking a trip back in time.

Game Over Pizza in Los Angeles opened less than a year ago and is an absolute retro '80s dream spot.

With a flashy color scheme, tons of arcade games, and plenty of pizza and beer, this is a must-try place for anyone who misses big hair, spandex, and leg warmers.

It dishes up 20-inch pies, individual slices, and fluffy "Sicilian style" pieces of pizza too.

Everything is made in-house, down to the sauce and ranch dressing. This 'za is incredibly authentic.

They have a wide variety of games, including The Simpsons, Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, and more.

There are even TV screens playing old classic movies (think: Back To The Future) and areas where you can play Nintendo and Sega Genesis.

All games are $.50 to play, so it's an affordable date night idea when they're open for dine-in.

Some of their tasty slice options include the Boomer (mushrooms, parmesan, and chili flakes), vegan Margherita, and of course, the classics like cheese and pepperoni.

All of the sodas come in glass bottles to amp up that retro vibe.

Plus, they have tons of wine options and a few beers on tap.

It's all the fun of being a kid in an arcade with the perks of being an adult.

Take a trip back in time at this retro pizzeria/arcade.

Don't forget your leg warmers!
