McDonald's Canada Is Boasting Again About Having Freshly Cracked Eggs Since 1976

Seems like this is more subtle shade at Tim Hortons.

When it comes to McDonald's Canada's eggs, the fast-food chain really wants you to know that they were cracking them fresh before Tim Hortons started doing it.  

McDonald's shared an old ad about their eggs on Twitter, saying "wow 1976. Good times, good times."

The throwback video ends with a block of text that mentions the Egg McMuffin has used freshly cracked eggs since 1976.

This rivalry started after Tim Hortons introduced their freshly cracked eggs in February 2021 and McDonald's Canada changed their Twitter layout to boast about how long they've been serving eggs like that.

The jabs seem to be happening more frequently because this latest one came less than a week after the fast-food chain tweeted more subtle shade about it.
